Associate Professor of Economic History at CUNEF University (Madrid, Spain). PhD in Economic History by Universidad Complutense of Madrid, she has been visiting professor at Universities Bocconi and Kyoto, as well as visiting  fellow at Universities of Reading (UK), York (UK) and Jinan (Guangzhou, China). She is the President of the European Business History Association (EBHA) and the General Secretary of the Spanish Association for Economic History (AEHE). Her research has focused on the long term effects of foreign direct investment in late developing economies, being awarded twice by the Spanish Association of Economic Historians. Having published near twenty articles and book chapters, including at Business History and Business History Review, she has collaborated with thirteen competitive, national and international, research projects. She is currently leading a competitive research project on the role played by businesses and professional associations on the origins of the Spanish system of innovation, and a working package associated to a European project on the entrepreneurial management practices to foster innovation. She serves on the board of Business History.
