Miguel A. López-Morell

Miguel A. López-Morell is Full Professor of Economic History and Institutions at the University of Murcia, specializing in business and financial history. He is the author of seven books and more than forty international publications. Among them: The House of Rothschild in Spain (Routledge. Spanish edition La Casa Rothschild en España, published by Marcial Pons Historia). He was a member of the Academic Council of the Asociación Española de Historia Económica and the European Association for Banking History,  and Convenor of the Financial History Network. He has been a visiting researcher at Harvard University and the Bayes Business School in London. At present he has several open research projects, among which he would highlight the analysis of the evolution of Spanish Royal patromony during the nineteenth century, a study on large mining corporations and their influence on international commodities markets and a history of the expansion of large Spanish banks in Latin America.
