Howard Stanger is Professor of Management in the Wehle Business School, Canisius University, where he also holds an affiliated appointment in History. He received his Ph.D. in Labor and Human Resources, Max Fisher School of Business at The Ohio State University, where he also studied business and labor history with Mansel Blackford, William Childs, and Warren Van Tine. Stanger's research interests are in contemporary and historical aspects of labor and employment relations, retailing history, and general business history. he has written extensively about the history of Buffalo's Larkin Company. He teaches Introduction to Management, Human Resource Management, Labor Relations, Organizational Behavior, and Business History.
