Financial history, central banking, Modern Britain, 20th century, Banking, financial regulation
I work on the economic and political history of modern Europe. My research interests mainly lie in the history of finance, central banking and international relations, with a particular focus on interwar Britain, France and Germany. Prior to joining Oxford, I received a PhD in history from Princeton University. I have also held visiting fellowships at the Paris School of Economics and the Humboldt University of Berlin.
