I am a financial and economic historian focusing on the effects of debt repudiation in the U.S. South before, during, and after the Civil War. I completed my master's degree at the University of West Georgia with a thesis entitled, "Debt Repudiation and the Outcome of the Civil War," and am currently working on a PH.D. at the University of Georgia.

I am the owner of Brownstone Custom Cabinetry, a proud father of two grown daughters, and a five-tour combat veteran of the U.S. Army.
