This paper utilizes the archival materials of The Plowshare Press to explore a growing
movement among laborers and civilians living in the Santa Clara Valley. By examining the
materials from this group, this project will demonstrate the myriad labor concerns entangled in
the late Cold War's solidification of the military-industrial complex connecting labor concerns to
technopolitics, business practices, and foreign policy issues during the Carter and Reagan
administrations.
