Jesse Tarbert

Jesse Tarbert is a historian of American politics, focusing on the evolving connections between capitalism, racism, and government. His book, When Good Government Meant Big Government: Capitalism, Racism, and the Modern American State, 1913–1933, was published by Columbia University Press in February 2022. He was a participant in the BHC Doctoral Colloquium in 2014, and received his Ph.D. in history from Case Western Reserve University in August 2016.
