Emerging Scholars Committee -- Mentorship Program

Please consider signing up to be a mentor or to be a mentee of the 2023 Mentoring Program.

The Emerging Scholars Committee aims to support early career scholars (graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and early career researchers) as well as those new to the field of business history by hosting professional development and networking opportunities.

In Spring 2023, the ESC will organize both an in-person networking reception at the Detroit conference and a virtual mentoring program that pairs emerging scholars with established community members based on shared research interests and professional goals. Early career scholars can request a mentor to discuss different aspects of business history (from research and teaching to publishing and networking) in one-on-one meetings that take place during Mentoring Week, shortly before the BHC annual meeting. 

Prospective mentees and volunteer mentors should indicate their interest in the 2023 Mentoring Program by completing the following short survey by 03 February 2023:
