Lecturer in Political Economy

The post holder will conduct research in International Political Economy as well as deliver teaching on modules in both Politics and International Relations and Economic and Social History and specifically our Masters programme in Global Economy. We welcome applicants with expertise in any area of International Political Economy. This could include, but need not be limited to, from a contemporary or historical perspective, sustainable global development, international organisations, economic security and financial crises, varieties of capitalism and wellbeing economy.

The postholder will be employed across the subjects of Politics and International Relations and Economic and Social History and will undertake research of international excellence and contribute to knowledge exchange activities relative to the discipline, contribute to learning and teaching on agreed programmes and undertake administration and service activities in line with the School/College’s strategic objectives.

Tutor in Global Economy

The post holder will contribute to the delivery of an excellent student experience by undertaking a range of teaching, assessment and administrative duties, particularly in relation the MSc Global Economy programme, research methods courses in the School of Social and Political Sciences and dissertation supervision, as requested by the Head of Economic and Social History, in order to contribute to learning and teaching objectives in the School of Social and Political Sciences.
