Michela Giorcelli is a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at Stanford University and a 2015 Kauffman Dissertation Fellow. Her research focuses on the international transfer of management knowledge and technology in an historical perspective and its effect on productivity.  In her dissertation she examines how and the extent to which the US management know-how and technology transfer promoted by the Marshall Plan affected European business, with particular interest in post-WWII Italy.  

Prior to enrolling to Stanford, Michela earned a M.Sc. at Collegio Carlo Alberto, and a MA. and a BA. from the University of Torino, in Torino (Italy), the city where she was born in 1986.
