Leonardo Aboim Pires holds a BA and an MA in History from NOVA/FCSH and is currently a PhD candidate in Sustainability Sciences at ICS/UL. He is a researcher at ISEG Research in Economics and Management (ISEG/UL) and a member of the European Rural History Organisation. His main research interests sit in modern economic and social history, with a particular focus on agriculture, rural society, environment, and food. In 2025, he was awarded the Young Researcher Prize in Communication History.
