Consumer Cultures, Colonial India, British Empire, business and consumption, Chemical Industry, History of Consumption, Deindustrialization
Business Historians at Business Schools

I am a professor of Consumer Culture at XLRI Jamshedpur. I prefer to work on issues related to the consumers on the margins. Included in this area, is the agenda of the history of decolonization. Although new to this area, I am currently working on the entrepreneurial resistance to British colonial machinery.
I have very recently launched a website www.indianbusinesshistory.in to further the cause of archival research in Indian and the Global South Business history
