Donica Belisle is a Professor of History at the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada, currently specializing in the global history of Canadian sugar. She is currently writing a book about the Fiji-Canadian sugar industry.
Recent research specializations were in the histories of retail and consumer culture. She is the author of two books: Retail Nation: Department Stores and the Making of Modern Canada (UBC Press 2011) and Purchasing Power: Women and the Rise of Canadian Consumer Culture (University of Toronto Press 2020).
