Steve Musser

Executive-in-Residence, Ohio University

Business and Economic History, Corporate Governance, Strategy, History of Globalization
Business Historians at Business Schools

I am an Executive-in-Residence at Ohio University, where I teach management and strategy, following a 30-year career in food and agribusiness, manufacturing, and finance.

I am also a PhD candidate in an interdisciplinary program combining history, strategy, and business analytics. My dissertation focuses on corporate governance and how firms respond to technological, economic, and geopolitical change. The project uses historical cases involving the digitization of the New York Stock Exchange, Monsanto’s transformation into a life sciences company, and Britain’s 1967 sterling devaluation and withdrawal from East of Suez.
