I am a PhD student of sociology enrolled at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. The title of my doctoral dissertation is ‘Globalizing labour: A study of IT sector employees in Hyderabad and Delhi NCR’. The central aim of the thesis is to understand the nature of labour and the challenges and opportunities emerging from it in the most globalized sector of the Indian economy. I also investigate the impact of socioeconomic and technological changes on tech workers.
