Professor of Labor Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's School for Workers, specializing in organizational and leadership development for labor unions. Current historical research centers on Converse and the U.S. athletic shoe industry, specifically a Converse factory in Berlin, New Hampshire where workers went on strike in 1978, only to see the plant closed a few months later.
