Thomas is an assistant professor of strategy and international business at the Quinlan School of Business, Loyola University Chicago. His research combines historical and other qualitative methods to build theory in the fields of international business, organization theory, and strategic management. His current research studies explore such topics as the political behavior of multinationals, the governance of global value chains, and the organizational identities of financial services firms in the African context. He previously earned his PhD in business administration from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and his BA in anthropology from the University of Chicago.
