Lindsay Schakenbach Regele

Lindsay Schakenbach Regele teaches classes on U.S. history and the history of capitalism at Miami University, Ohio. Her research focuses on early national U.S. political economy, particularly the intersection of federal executive power and business. Her book manuscript, "Manufacturing Advantage: War, the State, and the Origins of American Industry, 1776-1848," which examines the development of the arms and textile industries in the context of national security aims, is under contract with Johns Hopkins University Press. She received her PhD from Brown University in 2015.
