Women in Business History

Rachel Greenfield is an independent scholar whose research focuses on the intersection of women, business, and marketing in the United States during the progressive era. Her biography of Rose Knox, President of Knox Gelatine from 1908-1947, will be published by the Three Hills imprint of Cornell University Press in October, 2026. It is titled Rose Knox, How One Woman Mixed Kitchen and Boardroom to Remold an American Business.
