Franklin Noll

Dr. Franklin Noll is the president of Noll Historical Consulting and a recognized expert in the history of money and sovereign debt. His focus is on the technology of money, from banknotes to cryptocurrency.

He has spent years studying and advising on matters such as security printing, banknote design, currency legislation, and he is currently applying the lessons he has learned to cryptocurrency and the challenges it faces, especially as regards smart banknotes and central bank digital currencies.

Noll has advised the US Government and international agencies on policy, financial and monetary research, and new product development. He has also provided support for external relations or public affairs of different institutions, aiding in public outreach and education.
