Francis Daudi is a research associate and PhD Candidate at the university of Basel, Switzerland. His research focus on development of insurance business in East Africa. He is looking at how local conditions interacted over time with external forces and shaped the diffusion of insurance products in Tanzania and Kenya. Francis holds a M.A (History) from Bangalore University and B.A (History) from Saint Augustine University of Tanzania. Before joining University of Basel, he was an Assistant Lecturer(Economic History of Tanzania) at Archbishop Mihayo University College Tabora(A constituent college of Saint Augustine university of Tanzania).
