Business Historians at Business Schools
I study the coevolution of economic activity and regulatory environments by using field research to blend historical and contemporary data. My research draws on insights from economic sociology, strategy, and entrepreneurship, while leveraging my experience as a corporate strategist. My current focus is on how small firms engage with a variety of associated stakeholders to navigate and attempt to credibly change restrictive regulatory environments, potentially creating opportunity for new organizational forms.
