Women in Business History

I study the history of capitalism, consumption, and liberalism, through methodologies of law, culture, and the humanities. My recent book is The Rise of Mass Advertising: Law, Enchantment, and the Cultural Boundaries of British Modernity (OUP 2022). I also co-coordinate the Enchnatment in the History of Capitalism network (https://economic-enchantments.net/)
