Aanya Agarwal is an Erasmus Mundus scholar in the Master's programme "Global Markets, Local Creativities," studying at Glasgow and Barcelona and now based at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her research explores globalisation and heritage and how local heritage can remain globally competitive today. Her paper on trust in the counterfeit ceramics trade through seventeenth-century Bandar Abbas won the Mike Stammers Prize for Best Presentation by a Postgraduate Researcher at the 30th Anniversary Conference of the Center for Port and Maritime History, Liverpool John Moores University, 2026. She holds a BA (Honours) in History from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi, India.
