Inés Escobar González is Assistant Professor of History at Stony Brook University. She studies how and why financial neoliberalism remade poverty in the global periphery and is currently writing her first book, After Inclusion: Mexican Poverty, Property, and Politics on North America’s Financial Frontier (under contract with University of California Press). Before SBU, Inés was Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Williams College and a Junior Fellow of the Harvard Society of Fellows. She has published in American Ethnologist and Critical Historical Studies, amongst others.
