Carlos Luis Paredes Hernández is a PhD student in History at the University of California, Davis. His research examines the social and economic history of food, the environment, and state-society relations in twentieth-century Peru, with a particular focus on collective strategies of survival during periods of economic and environmental crisis. His work draws on oral history, institutional archives, and digital humanities methods. He is also co-founder and Director of Research of Fuentes Históricas del Perú, a digital humanities project dedicated to identifying and sharing digitized primary sources on Peruvian history.
