Tommaso Stefini a social and economic historian specializing in the early modern Ottoman Empire and the Mediterranean.
He is currently an assistant professor of Ottoman history at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Sabancı University.
His research focuses on European-Ottoman economic and political relations, as well as the comparative history of Islamic and European legal and economic institutions in the pre-modern period.
