This paper will conclude the two paper sessions by showcasing the core findings, impact and contributions of the special issue and by demonstrating the value of special issue collections in furthering debate and addressing gaps in the knowledge. This paper will introduce the process of special issue development and illustrate how they are prepared, managed and produced. Crucially, this paper will provide key findings from the special issue and deliver key concluding remarks which emerged from the special issue Editorial chapter. The paper will show how historical methods and analysis have expanded the field of social entrepreneurship by addressing gaps in terms of the evolution of the concept, and the development of social entrepreneurship practices and organisational forms in a variety of global contexts.
