Call for expressions of interest for the submission of Marie Sklodowska-Curie postdoctoral projects in demography and economic history.

Tenured Associate Professor Enriqueta Camps-Cura, Department of Economics and Business at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, Spain), invites Expressions of Interest of potential candidates for the Marie Sklodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA PF) 2022 call.

MSCA PF scheme is a prestigious European funding programme that supports mobility, career development, and training within and beyond Europe. The scheme offers highly competitive salary and research costs. MSCA PF involves a joint application between the researcher and the supervisor (Prof. Camps-Cura).

We open an invitation to expressions of interest to conduct postdoctoral projects under the MSCA PF scheme on population growth, globalization and economic growth: recent past, present and future. The theoretical and methodological lines of research include, but are not limited to data-driven and analytical models on demography, macroeconomics and economic history. Of particular interest will be projects related to economic growth and the impact of population growth on macroeconomic performance and the application of econometric skills based on natural experiments related to population growth vis-a-vis economic resources. The main application domains include, but are not limited to, understanding the influence of population pressure on economic resources, technological change, prices of calories and policy recommendations.

Research will be supervised by Professor Camps Cura. The projects will be conducted fully in English. No knowledge of Spanish is required.
