Hopin: How to Network
In Hopin, there are different ways to network:
-Networking sessions: these are created by the Program Committee and sent to participants who have registered interest in participating.
-Networking tool [which will appear on the left of your screen]; Attendees need to click on the Networking tab to select that they are ready to chat or talk. If someone else is available, both attendees will automatically connect. There will be designated timeframes for networking on the schedule. The networking tool enables brief one-to-one video meetings between randomly selected partners, similar to an experience on FaceTime or Hangouts. The meeting will last 15 minutes maximum, though attendees can extend their conversation as the meeting time comes to an end, or they can choose to end it at any time during the conversation. While in the meeting, a ‘Connect’ button will appear on the right. This will provide you with contact information to your new connection.
-1:1 Meetings with attendees, and attendees may invite up to 5 people. While in your profile, click on the user's name in the chat tab or the people tab of your event. Once there, you will see a schedule a meeting button:
