CFP: 2022 Retailing and Distribution History on-line seminars (Deadline 3 Dec)

'RETAILING AND DISTRIBUTION HISTORY'

CHORD invites submissions for its 2022 on-line seminars on 'Retailing and Distribution History': papers focusing on any aspect of retailing and / or distribution history and on any geographical area or period are welcome. We invite both experienced and new speakers, including speakers without an institutional affiliation. Potential speakers are very welcome to discuss their ideas with the organiser before submission (please see contact details below).

We invite both 20-minute papers and shorter, 10-minute ‘work in progress’ presentations. All papers will be followed by 10 minutes for questions and discussion. Seminars will take place online, and we anticipate that each seminar will include two or three papers. Three of the seminars will take place between c. 10.00 and 12.00 UK time and two between c. 14.00 and 16.00 UK time. 

The proposed dates (please note that these may need amendment once the organiser’s semester 2 teaching schedules are published!) are:

Tuesday 25 January 2022 between c. 10.00 and 12.00 UK time

Tuesday 22 February 2022 between c. 14.00 and 16.00 UK time

Tuesday 22 March 2022 between c. 10.00 and 12.00 UK time

Tuesday 26 April 2022 between c. 14.00 and 16.00 UK time 

Tuesday 24 May 2022 between c. 10.00 and 12.00 UK time

To submit a proposal, please send title and abstract of c.300 to 400 words, specifying your preferred dates and whether you are proposing a 10 or a 20 minute presentation (as a Word or similar file. Please do not submit a pdf file) to Laura Ugolini, at l.ugolini@wlv.ac.uk by 3 December 2021.
