The Institute

The Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI), founded in 1960, is located in Dublin’s South Docklands area. Our mission is to produce high quality research, relevant to Ireland’s economic and social development, with the aim of contributing to knowledge and informing policymaking and public debate. We have over 100 staff including economists, sociologists and other social scientists, in addition to support and technical staff.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Climate & Energy Transition

The Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) wishes to make a 3-year appointment to their climate and energy modelling team.  The research will entail close cooperation with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), which is Ireland’s national energy authority investing in, and delivering, effective and sustainable solutions to help Ireland’s transition to a clean energy future.  The post also entails an adjunct position at Trinity College Dublin. Research Assistant - Poverty, Inequality and Living Standards Research Programme

Applications are invited for the position of Research Assistant in Economics to join the Social Research Division, which consists of a multi-disciplinary team of economists, sociologists,  epidemiologists, psychologists, health service researchers and statisticians.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team carrying out research into poverty, inequality and living standards in Ireland. They will contribute to the annual “Poverty, Inequality and Living Standards” report (PILSReP), analysing microdata, writing up results and presenting findings. More, here.
