Military business has been a common form in many countries during the 20th century. Today, from Asia to Latin America, armies run lots of businesses in many different sectors from banking to automotive, logistics to mining. The aim of the paper is to illustrate the evolution of military businesses in Turkey between the periods of 1960-2014. The study uses primary data obtained through the websites of the focused companies and also benefits from secondary data. The findings of the study show that two main distinctive business groups (OYAK and TSKGV) owned by the Turkish military have emerged after 1960 and they still actively operate in Turkey.
