Annual Meetings

The Business History Conference has been meeting annually since the inception of the organization in 1954. By the mid-1990s, single sessions had been replaced by multiple concurrent sessions. Attendance continues to grow, as does the variety of meeting activities. The BHC has adopted policies governing the annual meeting.

The 2021 meeting will take place March 11th-14th at the Westin Book Cadillac hotel in downtown Detroit.

The theme of the conference is "The Ubiquity of Business."

The program committee is chaired by Lucy Newton (University of Reading) and includes Paula de la Cruz Fernández (University of Florida), Marina Moskowitz (University of Wisconsin – Madison), Susie Pak (St. John’s University), Dan Wadhwani (University of Southern California and Copenhagen Business School), along with BHC President Neil Rollings (University of Glasgow).
