The 2019 annual meeting will take place at the Hilton Hotel and Resort, Cartagena located at Avenida Almirante Brion, Cartagena, Bolívar, Colombia. Rooms (all suites) are $169/night single and $189/double occupancy (plus tax) and include a full breakfast.

An important note about booking

Some participants have faced difficulties with the Hilton website when attempting to book rooms at the conference rate. Namely, if the dates March 13-17 are selected, only the highest rate is shown rather than the discounted conference rate. For participants seeking to book rooms from the 13th through the 17th (or later), please follow these instructions:

  1. Reserve rooms for arrival March 14 and departure March 17 (or later) through the BHC conference site link https://www.hilton.com/en/hi/groups/personalized/C/CTGHIHH-GUBHC-20190313/index.jhtml?WT.mc_id=POG. You will get the conference rate of $169.
  2. Reserve rooms for arrival March 13 (or earlier) and departure March 14 through the Hilton Cartagena web page https://www.reservations.com/hotel/hilton-cartagena. This is necessary because there are no more rooms available at the BHC conference rate. There are rooms available at a slightly higher rate for this night.
  3. Email Jairo Manzur, our conference liaison at Jairo.Manzur@hilton.com to make sure the two reservations are linked and you do not have to change rooms.

Alternative Hotels

For those members experiencing problems booking a hotel room for the Tuesday and Wednesday nights (March 12-13) we would like to suggest two alternatives. Both are very close to the conference hotel and of comparable quality and price. 

The first, the Estelar Oceania, is immediately across the road from the conference hotel. 

The second, the Dann, is a 10-minute walk from the conference hotel.
